One of the decision I made this year is to spend much more time in the nature as that is something because of work and life I didn’t get to do nearly as much as I wanted and needed and I’m glad that lately I’ve had quite a few opportunities for that, hopefully in the future there will be even more. Nature recharges me and fills me up with positive energy, gives me inner peace and specially when I have my camera with me (almost always) so I can capture some of that beauty and do what I love.
Also, when you do a creative work such as photography, it’s good to sometimes change the subject and shoot something that you don’t necessarily do every day. It’s so important for inspiration and for personal growth to go out of your comfort zone and try out different things. You never know where will the road take you if you never even try… I was so happy to join Esenko Photography Workshops and spend few unforgettable days with a small group of people from all around the world who share the same passion for travel, enjoying nature and photography. We spent our days photographing rivers, waterfalls and lakes, forests coloured in the most beautiful Autumn colours, gorgeous details you can find only in nature but some other cool stuff too such as old abandoned Yugoslav military base Zeljava, Tito’s cave in Drvar (Bosnia & Herzegovina), local people making fruit brandy called ‘rakija’ (which we had to try of course!) etc..
In this post I won’t be writing too much but let the photos tell you the story of this wonderful trip and photography tour. I’ll first start with photos from Una River National Park, situated in the northwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I hope my photos can show you at least a bit of this natural beauty on moody Autumn days…
After two days in beautiful Una National Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the following two days we spent exploring and photographing Plitvice lakes in Croatia, the oldest and largest national park in the country. My favourite two season to visit Plitvice Lakes are Autumn when the nature turns into the most beautiful shades of red, yellow and amber and in Winter when there is a lot of snow and you feel like the world stands still, all peaceful and quiet…
