Creamy & healthy chocolate smoothie (vegan, GF)

This chocolate smoothie is perfect for a morning like today, dark and gloomy and rainy! We all know that chocolate makes everything better and on a day like today we need all the chocolate we can get! The best part is when our little treat is healthy (I mean in my book dark chocolate is always healthy, remember cacao = antioxidants and all that!) and this smoothie looks and tastes decadent but it’s actually pretty healthy as it’s full of good healthy ingredients like banana, oats, raw cacao, almond milk, cinnamon…. You see, all good and healthy! 🙂

Before the recipe let me just state that November is my least favourite and even kind of depressing month. Do you agree? After beautiful October when Autumn shines in all its glory and the world is coloured with all shades of red, orange and yellow, suddenly the temperatures drop, days became shorter and darker and because of rain and wind all those pretty leaves end up on the ground and tree branches get more naked each day. At the same time we still don’t have the sparkles and lights of Christmas decorations and all that comes in December like anticipation of holidays, cookies baking, mulled wine, snow and so on… So you see, that’s why I don’t really like November and need all the healthy treats to get me through it! 😀

 

 

Recipe in English:

Creamy & healthy chocolate smoothie

Serves: 1
Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond milk (or other plant-based milk)
  • 1 small banana
  • 2 tbsp oats
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao
  • 1-2 dates
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ tsp cinnamon
  • Topping: cacao nibs or grated dark chocolate
  • Note: you can make dates softer by soaking them at least 30 min in warm water
  • 1 cup = 250 ml
Preparation
  1. Put all the ingredients in your blender and blend until it gets smooth and creamy.
  2. Pour in a glass and top with cacao nibs or grated dark chocolate.
  3. Enjoy!

  • SASTOJCI
  • 1 salica bademovog mlijeka (ili drugog mlijeka po izboru)
  • 1 manja banana
  • 2 zlice zobenih pahuljica
  • 1 zlica sirovog kakao praha
  • 1-2 datulje
  • ½ zlicice vanili ekstrakta
  • ⅓ zlicice cimeta u prahu
  • Za posipanje: kakao zrnca ili naribana tamna cokolada
  • Napomena: da bi omeksali datulje mozete ih namociti 30 min u toploj vodi.
  • 1 salica = 250 ml
Preparation
  1. PRIPREMA
  2. Stavite sve sastojke u vas blender i blendajte dok ne dobijete gusti i kremasti smoothie.
  3. Natocite u casu i pospite kakao zrcnima ili naribanom tamnom cokoladom. Uzivajte!
